B Corp: Certified Sustainability
Achieving B Corp Certification confirms commitment across every aspect of our operations, from environmental impact and employee well-being to community engagement and ethical governance. It’s a reflection of how we measure success beyond profit, creating a long-term, positive impact for people and the planet.
What does it mean to be a B Corp?
B Corps are a global movement of 'Purpose Driven Businesses' that aim to spread a new economic paradigm, which sees companies as proactive in the spread of business models for a fairer and more inclusive economy. As a B Corp, Florim USA is committed to creating more than beautiful, durable porcelain tiles. Every product we make reflects our dedication to sustainability, social responsibility, and transparency—proving that design, quality, and purpose can work together.
At Florim USA, we believe businesses can do more than make products or sell services—they can make a difference. We are proud to be a B Corp, part of a movement that puts people, community, and the planet at the heart of everything we do. B Corps lead the way by embracing a regenerative approach—creating value not just economically, but socially and environmentally, generating positive impact for people and the planet.
Certification is earned through a rigorous assessment of a company’s impact on workers, the community, customers, the environment, and governance. Companies must measure their overall impact using the B Impact Assessment, scoring above 80 out of 200, and demonstrating excellence across all five areas assessed. They also must meet strict legal and transparency standards.
While many companies start the journey, only a select few achieve B Corp certification through B Lab, a global organization founded in the US, that sets the standard for business with purpose. Being a B Corp signals a genuine commitment to sustainability, responsibility, and lasting positive change.

Our Ongoing Commitment
At Florim USA, sustainability is daily practice. We are proud of the initiatives we have undertaken to create a positive impact for our employees, their loved ones and families, our community, and the environment.
We actively engage with our stakeholders, invest in training and employee well-being, and implement programs that benefit the community where we operate. On the environmental front, we pursue strategies to measure and reduce emissions, assess supplier performance and maintain a Code of Conduct across our supply chain. Our efforts include optimized product designs, that reduce material use, maximized energy efficiency, use of electric logistics vehicles, and an ongoing commitment to being PFAS free.
We continually reinvest in projects to minimize our environmental footprint. Today, we regionally source 100% of the raw materials in the body of our tile, recover 100% of production waste and reuse all production wastewater.

Benefit Corporation and B Corp Certification
While often mentioned together, Benefit Corporation and B Corp Certification are two distinct designations that reflect complementary aspects of a company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
A Benefit Corporation is a legal status. Companies with this designation have formally amended their corporate charter to include a commitment to creating a positive impact on society and the environment, while pursuing profit. This commitment is recognized and regulated under state law and requirements can vary state by state.
B Corp Certification is a voluntary, third-party verification issued by B Lab. To earn this certification, a company undergoes a rigorous assessment of its social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
A company can be both a Benefit Corporation and a B Corp Certified company: the legal status ensures the commitment is embedded in the company’s governance, while the certification independently verifies that the company meets high standards of sustainability and social responsibility.
